At the start of 2022, we moved our church calendar from four terms to three seasons. This will allow time for our leaders and teams to rest and to prepare for the season ahead.
Our calendar is divided into three seasons with three months per season:
SZN 1 | January, February, March
SZN 2 | May, June, July
SZN 3 | September, October, November
The Season break for those serving on teams are in April, August and December.

We have enjoyed the shared lunches in 2022, and so with some feedback we have decided to change the Family nites to lunches to allow families to rest in the evening and ready for the week ahead.
Our Family Shared Lunches are a time of sharing a meal together, breaking bread, sharing testimonies, hanging out, and presenting the upcoming season’s activities, and events.
This is a great opportunity to look back at what God has done in the past 3 months and realign ourselves to the vision and focus for the remaining time of the year.
This year’s Family Shared Lunches will be on Sunday on 22 January (at Leaders Retreat), 21 May, 22 October.

We believe that parents are the first reflection of Jesus, which their children will experience.
So taking a different approach to what was known as Sunday School, we are turning our focus to parents.
We will be meeting monthly during each season to break bread with families and have an open session with parents. Grandparents you are invited too.
The first session will be Sunday 12 February. If you are keen to join, come along.

The Local Creative Church is an event that looks to grow creatives who are passionate about sharing their gift in their local church.
This year, we will be hosting a Worship Night on Friday 3 March, 7pm - 8.30pm. This will be a service, session and light supper.
This is an OPEN event for the creative community.

Last year we introduced Link groups. Links groups are an opportunity for people to connect while doing something they enjoy like fishing, going to different markets, playing in a sport team together.
We still believe this is a great opportunity for others to gather with the intention to connect.
So, there will be 2 Link Weeks this year. This is open to anyone to run a Link group. We are asking the Life groups to get this moving by organising a social event that is open to anyone.
Here are the dates set aside for these social gatherings:
July 17 - 23 (6th Life week in Season 2)
Nov 20 - 26 (7th Life week in Season 3)
You are welcome to share your ideas with our Pastors on what you would like to do for a social event. You can do this by filling out this form: www.tchnz.org/links

There will be a few community projects happening this year. If you are keen to join please get in touch with Ps. Dan. We have a great team already with their first project starting this month.
You can find out more info on our local notices group.

Previously, during the Season break, we would have a leaders session on the 3rd week and Pre-season Sunday for all teams on the last Sunday of the break.
This will now change where Pre-Season Sunday will start with a Leaders only session at 4pm and then a session will All Teams at 5pm.
Last Sunday of Season Break is Preseason Sunday.
Our purpose is to gather all who willingly and are available to serve for a fun night of connection, encouragement, and prayer.

At the start of service, we would have Ps. Ivy or someone do the announcements for the Livestream. Ps. Dan has decided to put this role on hold until there are others that are willing and available to continue this.
This will mean at the end of the countdown for service, our Worship leader will welcome everyone to walk to their seats and join the service.

In previous years the AGM would be made up of the financial report, Vision and presenting the programme for the year from Leaders.
Generally, the financial period is from 1 April to 31 March the following year. This is the financial period that we report to the Charities Commission, IRD (PAYE + Donation Receipts). We previously reported this and a different financial period (Jan - Dec) for our AGM.
To make our process simple, we will be reporting only one financial period (1 April - 31 March). For this reason, we are moving the AGM to June each year, so that the financial report is ready to present.
The programme for the year will be shared on Vision Sunday + the first Family Share Lunch of the year.
