Thank you for showing interest in our teams. If you are yet to decide what team you want to join or what you can bring to the team, here are a few things we want you to know:

  1. Getting involved in the life of the church can help you to grow in your relationship with God and with others.

  2. God qualifies those who are called. Be encouraged that we all start somewhere, and most of the time we often start with very little. But trust in God that through Him and with Him, you will gain so much from this experience and be able to give from a place of overflow.

  3. Joining a team shows the team members that you are willing and available to serve, that you care about them to serve alongside them, and that you are willing to be a part of the answer to problems we face.

We encourage you to seek God through His Word for some direction, talk to someone mature in Spirit for advice and pray for guidance.

 
 
 

Our Teams

We believe that when we serve it is to honour our Father in heaven for who He is and what He has already done for us. All the glory for what is seen and unseen belongs to Him.
We learn that over time, we grow as a church as we continue to follow God’s leading in our lives and in our church family.

As we grow individually, our teams will grow collectively.

Here is a list of teams, roles, and responsibilities.

  • Roles: Secretary, Treasurer, Advisors, Administration

    Responsible for: General Administration tasks that include processes GST, PAYE, processing mail and emails, contractor relationships, financial reporting, budgeting, banking and Annual reports.

    Skills include: Maths, Computer, Basic Accounting, Minute taking, Report writing, Banking knowledge, Communication, time management, calendar management.

  • Roles: Team Lead, Coordinator and Tradies, Garden Care

    Responsible for: general facility care, repairs and maintenance of all TCH buildings and property. Managing and coordinating working bees, new builds, and renovation projects. General care of all our plants (indoor and outdoor). Roster for general cleaning that is completed weekly for our main spaces, auditorium/lounge; hall/carpark; bathroom facilities

    Skills include: trades, planning and coordination, health and safety knowledge, relationships with contractors, communication, organisation, basic garden care knowledge.

  • Roles: team members, Sunday Hospitality team, Leader

    Responsible for: Creating an atmosphere that welcomes people into our home (church) by preparing food and drink and preparing the house for when they visit.

    We have a smaller group who take care of Sunday Hospitality that includes front-of-house tasks and catering.

    Our Life groups are rostered to provide Morning Tea through the year.

    Our church family are encouraged to be a part of the wider Hospitality function for events/special services.

    Skills include: Catering, Hospitality, Customer Service, Health and Safety, Communication, Time management, Adaptable, Resilient, Multitasking, Cultural Awareness, Event management, Organisation, Time management, roster management.

  • Roles: Production Team Lead, Service Producer, Stage Team Leader, Stage crew, Camera Operators, Pro Presenter operator, Sound Engineer, Lighting, Livestream Operator, Website management, Youtube management

    Responsible for: the smooth flow of Sunday services, events, gatherings in person and online (live stream), event audio and visual

    Skills include: Computer, Filming production and knowledge, leadership, musicality, organisation, coordinator, communication

  • Roles: Team Lead, Vocalists, Musicians, Music Director, Worship Leading, Songwriters, Music Arrangers

    Responsible for: leading the praise and worship in services and gatherings. Creating an atmosphere of Worship to bring others into the presence of God in gatherings. Assist the Expressions team with music and vocal coaching.

    Skills include: Vocal ability, understanding of music and instruments, time management, communication, organisation

  • Roles: Team Lead, Vocalists, Musicians, Actors, Writers, Spoken Word Artists, Dancers, Drama, Styling, Visual Communication, Graphic Designers, Filmmakers, Photographers, Editors.

    Responsible for:

    Expressions: Sharing the message of Jesus through performing arts.

    Creative Photo/Film: Capturing the move of Jesus through photo and film work.

    Events: Creating a space that welcomes others into our church. Working closely with the Visual Comms on displays for Season + Events.

    Experiences: Organising and coordinating enjoyable and meaningful experiences for everyone.

    Visual Communications: Creating designs and interactive work that communicates Seasonal messages.

    Skills include: performing arts; dance, photography, filming, editing, graphic design, interior design, event styling, music, vocal, general administration, event planning, scheduling, community engagement.

  • Roles: Team Lead, teachers, coordinator

    Responsible for: THRIVE is the learning and growing function of our church family. It’s primary focus is to teach, coach, disciple and mentor team members, leaders and general members.

    include: teaching, programme development, coaching, mentoring, discipleship, communication, facilitation, assessment

  • Roles: coordinator, team members

    Responsible for: uploading and managing online sales via Trade Me, coordinating pickup and delivery arrangements with customers.

    Skills include: communication, customer care, online trade me experience, basic measuring skills

  • Roles: Life Groups Lead, Life Group Leaders, Group Support

    Responsible for: providing a safe and open environment for others to share and grow in their faith and doing life together.

    Skills include: leadership, communication, understanding of the Word of God, facilitation, relationship building, coordination, social media, public speaking.

  • Roles: Leaders, Group Support

    Responsible for: providing a safe and open environment for college-aged youth to grow in their faith and in life together.

    Skills include: working with young people, resilience, time management, computer, social media, youth development

  • If you have a desire to help our children to draw closer to God and go deeper in their understanding of who is, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Roles: Parents, Coordinator

    Responsible for: working together with other parents to learn and understand ways/approaches to teach their children foundational biblical learning at home. This is a parent-led group.

    Our Pastors provide support through sessions for parents as and when needed.

    Skills include: organisation, communication, facilitation, online learning

  • Roles: Team Lead, Team Members

    Responsible for: providing a safe and open environment for others to enjoy learning and growing in their knowledge of nutrition and participating in physical activity.

    Skills include: leadership, communication, relationship building, coordination, social media, fitness, nutrition, organisation, facilitation.

  • Roles: Team Lead, Team Members

    Responsible for: understanding the needs of the community we serve, seeking partnerships with organisations and local communities, bringing our church family together to serve our communities

    Skills include: leadership, communication, relationship building, coordination, organisation, facilitation.

  • Clubs are social gatherings for people who share the same interests.

    Roles: Coordinators

    Responsible for: providing a safe and enjoyable space for others.

    Skills include: coordination, leadership, customer care, relationship building, organisation

    • If you have an idea for a club, and have 3 others who would be interested in starting one with you, then chat to our Pastors who would be keen to hear from you.

2. You will need to register to complete the Spiritual Gifts test (it’s free + easy). At the end of reading your Spiritual Gifts Results you can enter our email address (tch.church@gmail.com) for your results to be sent to our Pastors.
