Changes happening in 2022

  • Our church calendar will change from four terms to three seasons. The Season model, allows our church to focus on committing to fixed church-wide programmes/events. With each season change, the look and feel changes also eg Easter, Special Services, Christmas.

Our calendar is divided into three seasons with three months per season:

SZN 1 | January, February, March

SZN 2 | May, June, July

SZN 3 | September, October, November

The Season break in April, August and December allows Leaders and Teams some time to rest and prepare for the coming season.

  • A relaxed night of worship, testimonies, hanging out, presenting the upcoming season activities, events. Intentionally growing culture, excitement for the season ahead. Leaders will share what is happening in their teams in the coming season.

We gather together to celebrate the wins and prepare for what's ahead. We get an opportunity to look back at what God has done in the past 3 months and realign ourselves to the vision of what God has appointed us to do.

Family Nights will be on Sunday evenings on 16 January, 15 May, 11 September.

  • Midweek, Once per season

Team Night is the midweek gathering of our community of “servant team”. It exists to include, inspire, instruct, and involve—to connect leaders, build culture, and develop the gifts God has given each of us.

  • Last Sunday of Season Break

Gather our “Servant team” for a night of worship, encouragement, and prayer for everyone serving on a team and prepare for the upcoming season.

  • A 2-day event with the purpose to gather the local church of creatives to cultivate creativity and collaboration.

The Local Creative Church is an event that looks to grow creatives who are passionate about sharing their gift in their local church. This is an OPEN Creative Community event.

  • Creating an opportunity for people to connect. Links can be run by anyone who is willing and available to gather people.

If you are keen to run a link group you will need to think about: 1. What you would like to do; 2. When you would run the group; 3. How often you would run it

Here is an example of Tracey running a Link group:

Tracey enjoys playing badminton. She checks with Pastors if she can run a Badminton night that will run in April and August for 3 nights. Tracey would like to ask for a gold coin donation to help cover the cost of the court. Pastors are happy with the idea and how it will run. Tracey posts in TCH Local notices and starts running her link.

  • Taking care of what we have in our hands.

Our church family working together to deep clean all areas of our church property/facility.

The Spring Cleaning month will be led by Property with support Hospitality. Teams will be assigned areas to clean during the month with help from our wider Church family.

  • In previous years the AGM would be made up of the financial report, Vision and presenting the programme for the year from Leaders.

Generally, the financial period is from 1 April to 31 March the following year. This is the financial period that we report to the Charities Commission, IRD (PAYE + Donation Receipts). We previously reported this and a different financial period (Jan - Dec) for our AGM.

To make our process simple, we will be reporting only one financial period (1 April - 31 March). For this reason, we are moving the AGM to June each year, so that the financial report is ready to present.

The programme for the year will be shared on Vision Sunday + the first Family Nite of the year.
